WHOLE BRAIN LEARNING FOR ENGLISH

call and response routines

By Bob Wilson from autoenglish.org

Introduction

This page provides call and response routines as inspired by Chris Biffle's Whole Brain Teaching approach. The routines transform each session into an environment where the target language grows unstoppably and naturally and where everyone has an awesome time!

Set-up
CLASS SIZE: 15
LOCATION: a large space such as the school hall or gym or even outside!
TIME: minimum 2 session of 45 minutes a week.
MATERIALS: 17-20 chairs arranged in a horse-shoe shape or u.
Routines
When the children know the routines, let them be teacher sometimes.
Allow yourself and the class to invent and develop your own exchanges.
