The Third Little Pig

Once upon a time there were three little pigs. The first little pig made his house out of straw. The second little pig made his house out of sticks and the third little pig made his house out of bricks.

One day a big bad wolf arrived outside the first little pig’s house. He knocked on the door and said, “Little pig! Little pig! Let me come in.

Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin,” answered the first little pig.

Then I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house in,” declared the big bad wolf. And he huffed and he puffed and he blew the house in. The first little pig ran as fast as he could to the second little pig’s house, the one made of sticks.

Soon, the big bad wolf arrived at the house of sticks, knocked on the door and said, “Little pigs! Little pigs! Let me come in.

Not by the hair of our chinny chin chins,” answered the second little pig.

Then I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house in,” declared the big bad wolf. And he huffed and he puffed and he blew the house in. The first and second little pigs ran as fast as they could to the third little pig’s house, the one made of bricks.

Soon, the big bad wolf arrived at the house of bricks, knocked on the door and said, “Little pigs! Little pigs! Let me come in.

Not by the hair of our chinny chin chins,” answered the third little pig.

Then I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house in,” declared the big bad wolf. And he huffed and he puffed but he could not blow the house in, no matter how hard he tried. When he got his breath back, he decided to copy Santa’s idea and climb down the chimney.

As you have probably realised, the third little pig was a bright fellow and guessed what the wolf was going to try next. And so, he put a big pot of water on the fire and soon it was very hot. When the wolf came down the chimney, he scalded his bottom in the hot water and let out a huge howl. He ran straight for the front door, which the third little pig kindly opened for him, ran out of the house and kept on running. The big bad wolf was never heard of again and the three little pigs lived happily ever after.
